Practising certifiate is obligatory for social workers

The Abu Dhabi Department of Community Development put emphasis that all social workers engaged in social welfare services in the emirate must obtain a practicing certificate before the upcoming September the 2nd. In the event that they are unable to obtain the license within the prescribed period, they shall incur administrative penalties as per the Department establishing law. In this regard, Dr. Nedal al Tinaiji, Zayed House for Islamic Culture (ZHIC) General Director, commended the decision issued by the Department of Community Development to settle social workers situation. Which in essence underlines the Department vision to guarantee dignified life for all community members and enable social workers to carry out their activities through lawful means. Moreover, Dr. al Tinaiji stressed that ZHIC would be one of the proactive institutions to obtain such licenses for its respective staff to perform social welfare services for new reverts and individuals interested in Islamic culture in line with the Department regulatory decisions. In order to provide quality services through qualified and licensed practitioners for better community protection in conjunction with international standards befitting Abu Dhabi community.
Furthermore, Dr. al Tinaiji added that the success of the decision comes through cooperation between all social and public sectors providing social welfare services through a unified mechanism for better service to community segments.
